Curtis Leandro Melville III, 19, of Limerick PA, died October 4, 2019 as result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer. No alcohol, drugs, or foul play were involved in the accident. He was Born April 17, 2000 in Paoli PA, The son of Curt and Tara Melville of Limerick PA. He attended Spring-Ford Area Schools and graduated from Spring-Ford Area High School in 2018. He was currently enrolled at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and had just entered his second year at the University.

Curtis was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He began his scouting career as a member of Cub Scout Pack 230, based in Limerick, PA where he earned his arrow of light award. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 10 of Limerick PA and was also a member of the Order of the Arrow Unami Lodge 1 where he earned his Brotherhood honor. Through devotion, determination and several weeks/months of manual labor, Curtis achieved his Eagle rank, the Highest within the BSA organization, by completing a community project where he, along with other members, rebuilt a playground at St. James Church in Limerick, PA. Just this past summer, Curtis earned his scuba certification and became a leader within Troop 10, further demonstrating his commitment to the organization he felt so strongly about.

Curtis' greatest trait may have been his genuine kindness and generosity. Friends, family and many strangers were the fortunate recipients of his generous soul as Curtis always to strived to help those who were in need. His wish to donate his organs maybe the greatest demonstration of Curtis' desire to help others. With the support and commitment of the doctors and surgeons at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. the lives of others were saved while Curtis passed peacefully up to Heaven with his parents by his side.

Curtis is survived by his parents Tara and Curt Melville of Limerick, PA along with his sisters Krista and Amber, both at home. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Ruth Lehnen of Malvern, PA: his paternal grandmother, Joan Melville of Broomall, PA. He is also survived by his close friends whom he knew as 'The Boys" and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

This memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Theresa of Calcutta Church, located at 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19437.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to BSA Troop 10 FBO Curtis Melville, to fund a scholarship in Curtis's honor. Envelopes will be available at church and can be mailed to St. James United Church of Christ, c/o BSA Troop 10, 321 South Limerick Road, Limerick PA 19468

In memory of a beautiful soul: Those that we love don't go away, even though you feel a total loss, they walk beside us. With deepest sympathy, know that I, too, walk beside you, feeling your pain, crying tears of sorrow: You'll never walk alone. May God be with you and you experience His comfort and sublime peace.

To the most kind bearded person I have ever met. Thank you for always brightening my day. Thank you for being there when I needed you, and always being someone I can talk to. Although we only were roommates last semester, we became very close very quick. I’ll never forget all the memories we made. I’ll miss our late night shenanigans and video games. Thank you for coming into my life, I will never forget you Curtis. To the whole Melville family, you are all in my prayers, and for the rest of my life I will cherish the moments I had with Curtis

For the times I saw Curtis when hanging out with Amber, he was as kind as ever. A few times he was with friends and came into the Wawa I work at, he was also kind as ever. He was always such a down to earth and kind soul.. It is a shame he was taken away so soon. My heart goes to his family and friends.. May he Rest In Peace.
