In Loving Memory
James Joseph Laber Jr
“Jimmy Joe ” “Sexy Man”
July 4, 1976 – July 19, 2025
Beloved father, devoted friend, and Jedi in spirit.
Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Alyssa (nee Brautigam) his cherished daughters, Jocelyn and Sophia, his parents, Judy and Jim Laber, his brother, Jason Laber and his wife Steph (nee Toland), his sister, Nicole Burkhardt, and her husband Ken; as well as twelve beloved nieces and nephews.
Jimmy Joe lived with heart, humor, and an unshakable love for his family. For 26 years, he shared a deep and enduring bond with his wife, who was his partner, and best friend. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Jimmy lived life with purpose, humor, and an open heart. To his beloved daughters, Jocelyn and Sophia, he was not only “Dad” but their greatest protector and biggest fan — the real hero of their story. He held a lifelong bond with his family whose love meant everything to him.
A true Star Wars fan, he found wisdom in the Force and always believed in hope, courage, and the power of doing good. He lived like a hero — with heart, humor, and strength.
He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever cherished by everyone that knew him.
May the Force be with him, always.
