Karen E. Russo

On January 3,2023 Karen Russo went home to be with the Lord Jesus.  She was the loved daughter of Vincent and Ellen Russo, big sister to Karl, sister-in-law to Susan, and Aunt Karen to Adam, Caleb, and Simon.

Karen was born in Brisbin, Pa Aug.26,1976.  She came to Delaware County in 1981. She graduated from Marple Newtown High School, attended Bloomsburg University, graduating with a B.S. degree in Exercise Science.  Later on she attended Delaware County Community College, earning an Associates Degree in Applied Science, Medical Billing and Coding. Karen then graduated DCCC with honors and was made a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. She also went on to past three different certifications in that field.

Karen loved her music and actively played the flute in three local orchestras.  She was a diehard Giants and Steelers fan, but they took second place to her first love, soccer.  She was a proud “Gooner” or fan of EPL Arsenal Gunners.

Karen was strongly devoted to her faith in Christ and strongly opposed any misuse of scripture and religion to suppress or mistreat any one or group whom the Lord created in His image and likeness.  This fact was evidenced by her volunteer work with diverse groups as right to life groups, AIDS awareness, and anti-abuse of women.

Mom and daddy will miss her and are proud of what she tried to accomplish in her short life.
