Marion G. Fries

Born February 26, 1959 and passed onto the Lord on June 26, 2023. She is survived her mother Marion, stepdad Michael, brothers William and Joseph, stepbrothers Michael & Marti.

She was raised in Yeadon, PA  and graduated from St. Louis Catholic School with honors. She went to Archbishop Prendergast High School and in her senior year developed a brain tumor. She was operated on but the surgery left her handicapped with double vision, swallowing issues and severe balance problems. Her Mom enrolled  her for 1 course at Upper Darby Night School and several years later she moved on campus at West Chester University, graduating with a BA in American History

Marion wanted to remain independent, living on her own, so she moved into an apartment in Berwyn (near her parents) had a beautiful cat and settled in nicely. Along the way, she ended up falling and fracturing her legs on two separate occasions, leaving her wheelchair bound.

She then lived in 3 different rehab facilities, finally moving to Manatwney Manor, a nursing facility in Pottstown, PA. This past Monday, July 26, she passed peacefully, in her sleep at around 11 am. She will be sorely missed by her family.
