Richard A. Smith

Richard A. Smith, born on August 18, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away on May 5, 2025. He was the son of Allen and Edna (Walls) Smith. Richard graduated from Ridley Township High School and served four years in Army Security in Germany during the Vietnam era. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring at the age of 55, and later worked at Kohl’s for eight years. He was the husband of Julia (Sweeney) Smith and the father of Richard Smith Jr. and Brian J. (Kristen) Axe He was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Smith. He is survived by his grandchildren, Ali and Anthony Smith, and Kerstin and Abby Axe
